About this piece
Jean Wallin original acrylic painting for sale: “Soap Opera Couple,” a large 30” x 22” acrylic on paper with a wry, theatrical edge. Contemporary Tucson-based artist Jean Wallin abstracts two faceless figures into a charged pairing, and the playful title invites the viewer to read drama, romance, or irony into the scene. Her shifting fields of color heighten the sense of staged emotion while keeping everything just shy of the literal. At this generous size it makes an engaging, conversation-starting original when framed. This is a one-of-a-kind painting, signed by the artist, not a print or reproduction. For collectors of contemporary abstract figurative art, “Soap Opera Couple” shows Wallin’s lighter, narrative side, an original Jean Wallin painting with wit and rich color.
