About this piece
Original Jean Wallin acrylic painting for sale: “Atlantis Lovers,” a 20” x 20” work on board in which two suggested figures dissolve into a mythic, watery abstraction. Contemporary painter Jean Wallin, working from Tucson, is known for faceless forms that read as universal rather than specific, and here that approach lends the pair a timeless, romantic mystery. Layered fields of color surround them like currents, contemplative and sensually serene in Wallin’s signature manner. The square format gives the composition intimacy and balance. This is a one-of-a-kind original painting, signed by the artist and never a reproduction. For collectors of contemporary abstract figurative art, “Atlantis Lovers” offers evocative narrative and rich color, an original Jean Wallin painting with a quietly poetic presence.
