About this piece
Jean Wallin original acrylic painting for sale: “Green Night,” a large 30” x 22” acrylic on paper steeped in deep, nocturnal greens. Contemporary artist Jean Wallin, working from Tucson, builds atmospheric fields of color that suggest mood and place rather than literal scenes, and here a shadowy green darkness gives the piece a mysterious, dreamlike calm. A faceless form seems to surface and recede within it. At this generous scale it makes a moody, sophisticated original statement when framed. This is a one-of-a-kind painting, signed by the artist, not a print. For collectors of contemporary abstract art, “Green Night” captures Wallin’s blend of depth and quiet mystery, an original Jean Wallin painting with a nocturne’s contemplative hush.
