About this piece
Jean Wallin original acrylic painting for sale: “Edge of the Blue,” a 26” x 20” acrylic on paper poised where deep blues meet warmer, lighter passages of color. Contemporary artist Jean Wallin, working from Tucson, layers acrylic into atmospheric fields that suggest a threshold or horizon without ever naming it, and here that edge becomes the quiet drama of the piece. The fluid handling paper allows gives the work an airy immediacy. Its generous size makes a strong original statement when framed. This is a one-of-a-kind painting, signed by the artist, not a print. For collectors of contemporary abstract art, “Edge of the Blue” captures Wallin’s balance of cool depth and warm light, an original Jean Wallin painting with a contemplative, atmospheric mood.
